ORDINANCE NO. � O (NEW SERIES) .
AN ORDINANCE REGUI,ATING THE BUSINESS OF ADVERTISING BY THE
DISTRIBUTION OF POSTERS, DODGERS OR ADVERTIS.EM"ETS OF ANY KIND, PRO -
HI3ITING THE DISTRIBUTION THEREOF IN CERTAIN PLACES IN THE CITY OF
SAN LUIS OBISPO AkID PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF.
Be it ordained by the Council of the City-of San Luis Obispo
as follows : -
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or cor-
poration, whether as principal, agent. clerk or employee, either for
himself or any other person, to distribute, circulate or pass out,
within the boundaries of the City.of San Luis Obispo, on any rail-
road train or car thereof, or at or within three hundred feet of
any railroad station or depot, or on,any right of way, land or
premises used in the operation of any railroad or in the transport-
ation of passengers-or freight thereon, or on Osos Street between
its intersection with Church Street and its intersection with Ella
Street,fany poster, dodger, printed or written advertisement or
other advertising matter.
Section 2. Any person who shall violate any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding three
hundred dollars or by imprisonment not exceeding thirty days or by
both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. This ordinance, together with the Ayes and Noes
shall be published for two days in the "Daily Telegram ", a daily
newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City of San Luis
Obispo, and shall take effect and be in force thirty days from and
after its final passage.
