ORDINANCE NO. (NEW SERIES)
AN ORDINANCE AT+ 'LADING SECTIO14 TWO OF ORDINUNCE N0. 45 ENTITLZ
"FIRE PROOF BUILDINGS AND LMITS OF, APPROVED APRIL 17,_1890"
AND REPR LING ORDINANCE NO. 31 (NEVI SERIES) APPROVED MAY 15,
1913, AND ALL PARTS OR ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT WITH THIS 02DINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo,
as follows:
Section I Section 2 of Ordinance No. 45 of the City of San
Luis Obispo, entitled "Fire Proof Buildings and Limits Of,
Approved April 17, 1890" is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section hI All buildings hereafter erected in the "fire proof
building district" of the City of San Luis Obispo, as defined
and established by this Ordinance shall be constructed of brick,
concrete, stone or steel; provided that no building constructed
of steel alone shall be more than one story in height and all
buildings constructed of steel must be made of structural iron,
all supports and columns not less than 5/16 inch iron, the iron
covering sides of said structural.building to be not less than
3/16 inch flat iron in thickness, and roofing to be not less than
No. 22 guage galvanized iron equivalent to a 2/32 inch thickness.
Section II Ordinance No. 31 (New Series) entitled "An
Ordinance to Amend Section 2 of Ordinance No. 45, entitled "Fire
Proof buildings and Limits Of, Approved April 1711 1890 ", and all
parts of, ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section III This Ordinance, together with the ayes and noew
shall be published tx,ice before its final passage in the Daily
Telegram, a daily newspaper-printed, published and circulated
in the City of
San
Luis
Obispo., and shall take effect 30 days
from and after
its
final
passage.
