All the best, Jan - - - -- Original Message---- - From: Jim Patterson fmailto:iim.pttrsnL Rmail.com1 Sent: Tuesday, February 05, 2013 2:32 PM To: Marx, Jan Subject: Council Vacancy Dear Mayor Marx, Should Councilmember Carter's seat on the council become vacant due to his resignation, I am supportive of the process of the council appointing a replacement. I feel that this process has served the city well in the past and saved a considerable amount of time and money. I understand that Jeff Aranguena is interested in filling the vacancy and I do support his appointment given that he did make the effort to run in the November election. This fact demonstrates his imitment to the democratic process and his sincerity in wanting to serve on the council. I feel that Mr. Aranguena ,be a thoughtful decision maker on the council and represent a youthful, professional demographic that is not currently represented. Thank you for your dedicated service to the city and your thoughtful consideration of this issue. Kind regards, Jim
