SUBJECT: Request for Records Destruction
RECEIVED
SLO CITY CLERK
On April 24, 2001 the City Council adopted a Records Retention Policy and Schedule. In
accordance with that policy and schedule, certain records have been identified as eligible for
destruction. A listing of those records is attached.
Eight boxes of records exceeding the retention requirements and, as such, are being prepared for
destruction. The method of destruction will be shredding the boxes contents for recycling by
DIRECT SHRED. The cost of this service will be approximately $.15 per pound as quoted by
DIRECT SHRED. DIRECT SHRED is scheduled to come to the Ludwick Community Center to
shred the boxes on Novemberl", 2004.

requirements as stated in the City of San Luis Obispo, Recr�rdr Retention Schedule

method will be via a recycling service. The Human Resources department plans to
schedule the recycler during the first two weeks of January 2004.
