17 Update with Derek Johnson; participation in video honoring Ron Regier; spoke at
Cuesta College Constitution Day; participated in Mexican Independence
celebration with Consulate.
19 Spoke at dedication of bench honoring General John Gong in Railroad Square;
attended Foundation for the Performing Arts celebration honoring the retirement
of Ron Regier and presented him with a declaration.
21 Participated in ribbon cutting at CIO Solutions new SLO branch.
22 Attended Parks and Recreation volunteer recognition dinner.
23 Attended Board meeting of the Air Pollution Control District.
24 Attended Good Morning SLO; met with residents regarding over use of Bishops
Peak Highland trailhead; chaired University /City meeting regarding beginning of
school year; met with Dominic Tartaglia regarding vision for Farmers' Market.
29 Participated in Sierra Club panel discussion regarding Oil Trains in San Jose.
30 Attended League of California Cities annual conference in San Jose; attended
Revenue and Taxation section and Coastal Issues group.
OCTOBER
8 Attended PAC Board Meeting regarding Strategic Planning document.
9 Chaired the Mayors meeting regarding economic development in the cities.
13 City Manager update.
14 Attended SLOCOG/RTA executive committee meeting; met with Supervisor Hill.
15 Attended SCLC meeting.
16 MC'ed Veterans' Breakfast with Congresswoman Capps; met with Lois Capps
regarding federal assistance with oil train risks and poor condition of tracks
between San Luis Obispo and Salinas, as per a recent EIR/EIS done regarding
CRCC's proposed addition of one passenger train between LA and San Francisco.
