COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
In regards to " ANNX- 1502 -2015 " San Luis Ranch Project. Please,
stop the annexation - development of Dalidio Ranch, from going any
further. The proposed development, will destroy fertile and valu-
able American farmland. America is losing too much farmland to
development projects of this nature. Quickly pushing America to
the unsafe position of - relying on other countries to feed it-
self. Similar in manner to America's dependency on China, for
manufactured goods,
San Luis Obispo's once clear sky. Is now a thick layer of smog.
That hangs over the city year round. Now, visible from every
entrance point; the most dramatic, Highway One, This layer of
smog, is one by- product of nonstop and unbridaled construction.
The amount of traffic this development will generate, con-
struction, delivery, automobile. Will have a huge, longterm
impact on San Luis Obispo's, air quality,
Another by- product, and source of this smog; traffic. Traffic
in San Luis Obispo has become a disaster. The stand outs for
traffic being: Santa Rosa Street, Los Osos Valley Road, Ma-
donna Road, Higuera Street. The intersections along. Los Osos
Valley Road, Madonna Road and Higuera Street - would be better
described as, bottlenecks. The worse being at, Madonna and
Higuera. Development of Dalidio Ranch, will only make this
traffic worse.
In addition to smog and traffic issues. The Dalidio Ranch also
has a public safety issue. That needs to be considered. This
land is in an airport flight path; and has already had a plane
crash into it.
After a 'Lifetime in San Luis Obispo. I am confident in saying,
San Luis Obispo is now a overcrowded traffic infested, smog
covered, unsafe and undesirable place too live. Development
of the Dalidio Ranch will only add too this. Plus, be a burden
on San Luis Obispo's resources and American farming.
