I am apposed to a large scale development and voted "No" years ago when the project was the "Dalidio Project ". The voters agreed with me and rejected that project. Also, the Airport Control District was opposed to that development because of safety and noise pollution reasons.. This year, just because there is a new owner of the property with a name change to the "San Luis Ranch Project ", has not changed the same or greater impacts a large development in this area would have on our environment and our city. For the following reasons, I oppose a large scale commercial and residential development at 1035 Madonna Rd., Madonna Rd. and Dalidio Dr.: 1. Traffic Congestion: from the commercial development, plus adding 500 houses with two or three cars per house, creating even more serious congestion than we already have on Madonna Rd. and Los Osos Valley Rd. 2. Water Shortage: After year of serious drought in our area, I feel that a large development would be a threat to our water supply, that today, can not even support the residents or businesses we have. Over building is not healthy to our environment and would be Bad planning. 3. Safety/Noise Pollution: The SLO County Airport has plans to expand and have larger jets taking off over this Madonna Rd. area. The safety issue for all residents, shoppers or more business people in this flight pattern is a serious concern with air traffic increasing in the future. Noise pollution from the larger jets is another factor to deal with in this neighborhood, making for added new homes or existing homes, an undesirable, non peaceful community. Please, as a SLO City Planner, make good choices based on a healthy environment and protect this wonderful city from over development. Do not let developers push you around with money when so much is at stake. Please be responsible and not ignore the issues! Thank you. Sincerely, Sandra Allen, homeowner at 1937 Oceanaire Dr., San Luis Obispo, CA 93405 805. 541.6527 a s' cr _ \ W o ♦ W o } •F- 0 O J Q 0 r4 E U) o o E O cQ " 0 u"'i ,E C) Q aa) CU C) -t- ° d M O Of 0= N Q x EL C) Q
