Subject: Objections to project on Buena Vista Street coming to Council on Appeal
Dear Mayor and Councilmembers,
I am writing to let you know my concerns as a very close neighbor to the project proposed on
Buena Vista Avenue that is coming to council on appeal of the planning commissions denial of
their requests. My biggest concern is parking. Buena Vista at that corner is a Fire Lane,
and because the street is so narrow and is a dead -end street where both sides of the
street prohibit parking. In addition, emergency vehicles must be assured access at all
times, which severely limits on street parking.
We live across the street and up a steep driveway and our guests park on our property
because there is hardly ever any street parking. If this house is built with its many
bedrooms we can expect many cars. They cannot accommodate them with the onsite
parking and it will not be a welcome impact to the tight neighborhood. This lot is not
meant for access from Buena Vista. I would recommend they build and access from
Loomis where there is more room.
Thanks for denying the appeal,
Amy
