Do you really believe that Palm Nipomo is the best location for the development of the City's next parking garage ?, Does staff actually believe it, or are they unwilling to speak up and say this is the wrong location ?. Does the Downtown Association or the Chamber of Commerce actually believe this it the best location or are they willing to take whatever is given to them. Basically better something then maybe nothing. The decision making that has gotten the City to this place in time all centers around the unwillingness to use eminent domain if necessary to purchase the Well Fargo property on the corner of Nipomo and Pacific. I don't why the City is so averse eminent domain. If at tomorrow night's meeting you were to ask the audience which location is preferable by a show of hands I think you know what the result would be, so why is this City continuing down a process that they shouldn't be continuing down ?. This reminds me of the great scene from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles where Steve Martin and John Candy are driving down the freeway and a driver is trying to get their attention and John Candy keeps ignoring him until Steve Martin finally rolls down their window and the other driver yells, "You're Going the Wrong Way ". Sincerely, Brett Cross 1217 Mariners Cove San Luis Obispo
