2 Ribbon Cutting at the newly energy efficient Water Resource and Recovery
Facility
3 Update with City manager; participation in Cal Poly "No Place for Hate" rally;
attendance at Visit SLO advisory council meeting.
4 Meeting with retiring Bill Almas regarding his replacement on the Chevron Tank
Farm project; attendance at the Mayors' meeting in Pismo Beach; participation in
the Holiday parade.
6 Participation in the Menorah lighting in Mission Plaza.
7 Review of the August meeting of the Investment Oversight Committee; meeting
with Chief Cantrell; attendance at the Foundation for the Performing Arts
reception.
8 Meeting with resident regarding Open Space Maintenance program.
9 Participation in conference call regarding the Mayors Challenge to End Veteran
Homelessness; attendance at the Economic Vitality Commission reception.
10 Attendance at the Student Community Liaison Committee meeting.
11 Attendance at Sinsheimer Elementary assembly; attendance at a workshop on
Medical Marijuana; attendance at a rally against racism, discrimination and hate
at the local mosque; participation in the ground breaking of Hotel Serra (Garden
Street Terraces).
14 Meeting with staff regarding SLOCOG agenda; update regarding Avila Ranch;
meeting with Mission Prep principal regarding "Love San Luis Obispo" volunteer
event planned for Spring.
15 Meeting with Chris Kofron of the US Fish and Wildlife Department regarding
award for Chorro Creek Bog Thistle preservation; closed session; city council
meeting.
16 SLOCOG special meeting at which I was elected President of SLOCOG and RTA
for 2016.
17 Meeting with resident re drought and development concerns; chaired SLOCOG
executive committee meeting; attendance at staff luncheon at corporation yard;
meeting with Vice Mayor regarding subcommittee assignments; attendance at
retirement reception for Bridget Fraser, engineer.
21 Winter holiday until December 30.

4 Meeting with John Madonna regarding plans for continuing care campus and
residential development on his property at LOVR and Calle Joaquin.
City Council meeting
6 Chaired SLOCOG and RTA joint meeting; participated in Airport Land Use
Engagement workshop.
7 Attendance at meeting of the Performing Arts Commission; meeting with the
Auditor regarding the audit; interview with Tribune reporter; update on major
housing projects with city staff; interview with Brad Pomerance on Charter TV.
8 Meeting with Cal Poly Muslim Student Association leaders regarding statewide
conference at Cal Poly; attendance at meeting of Mayors in Atascadero.
13 Chaired SLOCOG executive committee meeting; chaired University /City
quarterly meeting; met with resident regarding ratio of students to permanent
residents in our city compared to other cities with CSU campuses; meeting with
resident regarding Buena Vista hillside residential development.
14 Chaired the Mayor /Advisory Body Chair meeting; update with staff regarding the
Palm/Nipomo parking structure plans; participation in closed session.
