SLO CITY CLERK
Dear Mayor and City Council, I agree with the RON request to the appeal and encourage the appellant to return with a
project that meets city standards, including height and setback requirements and those mandated by the Special
Considerations overlay and hillside standards, and is compatible with the neighborhood.
I think this is a beautiful property and had we purchased it we would have made every effort to blend in with the the
neighborhood, even with a flat roof. Our house is a mid - century modern and has a flat roof. It is not a place for
gathering, but given the opportunity young people would try to make it a place to go; as do my neighbors next door and
across the street, on roofs that are pitched. They have access thru tall retraining walls and add on's that were done
when they were "family" homes. I would not want to pass on the issue of having to self - police another roof and
especially a deck party spot.
Thank you, John Harrison 326 San Miguel Ave
