HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-28-2016 CBOA Agenda Correspondence (Ayral 2)FEB 01 2016 From: odileayral @gmail.com on behalf of Odile Ayral Sent: Friday, January 29, 2016 2:10 PM To: Advisory Bodies; - r Johnson, Derek; Lichtig, Katie Subject: Board of Appeal on the walker Case To: Construction Board of Appeal, Derek Johnson, Katie Lichtig Subject: Thursday January 28, 2016 Hearing Yesterday, I attended the hearing on the appeal brought by the Walker family regarding their property on Fredericks Street. I hope the family appeals the Board's decision to the City Council because I believe they have a strong case that will attract the attention of many in the City. I do not intend to make many comments on yesterday's decision, except that I found it terribly disturbing to see the Walkers made responsible for things done to the house years before they bought it. Even more disturbing was the decision of the Board to deliberate at length with the Staff while at the same time forbidding the plaintiffs to say anything. The Staff was not there for mere information, they were the accusers, therefore far from being an objective party, but the Board did not question their answers. On the other hand, when the courteous young lawyer representing the Walkers once tried to correct a comment, he was politely told to shut up. What kind of justice is this? You are supposed to be an impartial Board, but you were not at all impartial yesterday. Sincerely, Odile Ayral 300 Ferrini San Luis Obispo
