It was made aware to me that SLO Brew is planning on opening a brewery with indoor/outdoor music during the week days and weekends, and I have to say that I am unhappy about this. I would urge council members to dis-allow permitting of a music venue this close to my home. I do understand SLO brew has been a long time downtown business, but I feel that it should not be allowed to open a music / nightclub based atmosphere near our family neighborhood. My concerns are as follows: Where will 500-700 people be parking for these music events, hopefully not up and down our streets? My home backs up to the creek with no sound buffer, how would the music level be regulated if permitted? How will traffic on Broad Street be affected? Many of the residents living on just goldenrod already have to deal with sounds from our neighboring businesses across the creek (sounds like construction) as well as the air traffic, this would further put a damper on our quality of life. Having noted that, the sound coming from these business ends at about 5pm or earlier, and traffic from the airport dies down to the occasional plane at that time as well. Based on the Tribune article, SLO Brew would be playing music during our quiet hours of 5pm -11 pm? I feel that should not be allowed. I hope you take these concerns into consideration when making a decision, as I know many of my fellow neighbors share the same concerns. Thank you for your Time! Concerned Resident Goldenrod Ln., SLO
