I reside at 1530 Broad St. directly adjacent to 1516 Broad St, the site of the proposed two-bedroom dwelling
behind the Renetzky House in the Old Town Historic District. After reviewing the drawings I want express my
strong support for the revised proposal. The proposed structure is a significant improvement over the garage
that currently occupies the site. I agree with the staff analysis that concludes that the structure is "in keeping
with that of the primary residence and of residences adjacent to the property, also two stories in height". I
hope the CHC will not seek further revisions as this project has been underway for some time and
additional delays would produce tangible negative impacts to our neighborhood.
Therefore I would like to use this opportunity to encourage the Cultural Heritage Committee to provide
its approval to the project as presented on March 28, 2018 agenda.
