COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
We appreciate your notification about this project. We don't have a lot to say, but a few items are
important to us - letter attached. I'm going to try to attend the meeting in case there are things that
come up that might need attention or comment.
Could you please pass the letter on to the commissioners and applicant before the meeting? It would be
very helpful for them to have it ahead of time.
Thanks so much,
Wendy

RE: Item 1, Auto Dealership at 1251 Calle Joaquin
To the Commissioners;
Central Coast Grown is the custodian of City Farm, the direct neighbor to the northeast of
the proposed auto dealership. We appreciate staffs acknowledgment of the importance of
maintaining the character of the agricultural gateway to the City, and the request that
landscaping be appropriate to the agricultural lands next door.
We are requesting that heightened dust control measures be taken during construction to
protect the crops of our farm tenant nearest to the dealership. In addition, we also request
that no grading or construction activity affect the property outside the area of the subject
lot, and that construction activity should not impede access to City Farm. The recent
construction of the LOVR overpass blocked public access to City Farm for over a year and
greatly impacted our programs.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Central Coast Grown
