My family recently went through the painful decision of asking my mom to give up her home, and her cherished belongings and move in with family at 87 that was very difficult for her, for she is still very active. I am asking for you to vote YES to allow the Madonna Family to move forward with their planned project. The Continuing Care Retirement Community will provide a much needed service to our aging community. It is a great form of Senior Housing, because it allows them to stay in one place. The area they have spent a majority of their adult years contributing to and love so much. They will have access to onsite assistance as they age, their families will not have to worry that they are all alone, or spend endless hours searching for a facility that will meet the needs of their aging loved one, because everything they could possibly need will be in one location. There is nothing more traumatic for seniors then having to move. It takes a huge emotional and sometime physical toll on them, having to leave their homes, their friends, and sometimes their families, and then on top of it give up the majority of their belongings. Why is this important— because sometime when the end is near the only thing they have left are their belongings ...... Their lifetime of memories. I urge you to allow the Madonna Family and the Froom II Villaggio CCRC to move forward as they have planned. Please Lean in—be proactive help your community, your constituents.
