I am writing to you concerning the planned development of the outdoor concert venue by SLO Brew. My understanding
is that this venue will be outdoors and be able to accommodate approximately 600 people. I would like to urge you to
vote against this planned development. As you are certainly aware, there has been a substantial amount of
development in the Tank Farm/Broad St. area over the past few years which has already impacted this area in the form
of increased traffic congestion and it has also made driving in this area hazardous. Adding 600 more drivers would
exacerbate this already dangerous situation, especially when the majority of these drivers would most likely be
intoxicated. This area already has to deal with the noise from the airport and the trains that pass through. Adding a
venue this size would most certainly trump these two put together. The city of San Luis Obispo may not have a concert
venue of this size in the city, but it has plenty of drinking establishments and I just don't understand why another one is
being considered around a family friendly area. A project of this size should be in a more rural area away from
populated areas. Perhaps the Greengate Ranch area would be more suitable.
Thank you,
Joel Orozco
