Subject: SLO Brew night club & 700 new homes in Tank Farm Area
It has recently come to my attention that 700 new homes have been approved for in the
Tank Farm/Orcutt area. I am appalled! SLO citizens have been asked to cut back water
usage considerably, letting there landscapes die and cutting back in other areas to make it
happen. We did our job and have exceeded expectations. NOW, the city is authorizing 700
new homes???? Where is the water supposed to come from?
First of all, SLO is supposed to be a slow growth community. 700 new homes, is NOT slow
growth. Second, why are the citizens being asked to conserve water so some developer can
make a killing putting in a huge development that will use MORE water! What has
happened to our conservative city that we love? That's why we moved here!
A night club is also purposed for our area! Are you kidding! More noise (we already have
the airport and the train and a major highway (Broad street/227). More traffic and More
people! Inviting more crime...
Please STOP this bombardment that is being imposed in our area!
