Subject: May 3 Council Meeting Aerovista --'The Rock" Concern
Dear City Council Members,
MAY
We are still concerned after the last meeting that 2 papers that we are aware of, had conflicting conclusions
from the last council meeting. We also thought that there were to be NO weddings?
Thank you for reading our input on this project. We hope that there are some visual conception pictures of what
this place is to look like inside, and truly sound focusing west.
We have participated with other planning commission and city council projects in other cities and there were
always more detailed pictures of the development project at a time of presentation.
As neighbors, we are still concerned about the ending time of these events. Sunday night till
I 1p.m. seems very late. Now, there will be 3 places that we are aware of, that will be playing music within
this block of airport land.
With the rezoning, how many more do you think would be acceptable in that small area which we assume will
eventually be surrounded with houses? This becomes a vicious circle of planning obstacles that needs to be
proactively planned and not a reactive hindsight mishap. And truly, this needs to be a conditional permit of
operation. Cal Poly already offers a wide assortment of entertainment with a lovely facility.
It has been such a blessing to have a quiet end of SLO for people who treasure this town and would like to be
secluded from the hustle and bustle of college life, tourism and traffic congestion. Even this weekend we could
hear music from Cal Poly family festivities.
We urge you to make this application a conditional privilege of operation, final conditions to be available for
the public to pick up at the office and who to seek for breach of conditions.
Thank you for your concern to the best planning of our special city. Your thoughtful planning will be an asset
to our future.
Sincerely,
Olivia and Jerry Larson
