Subject: Re: 135 Ferrini (ARCH -2451-2015)
Januar Spartono,
I received notification for the "Review of five new multi -family
units" at 135 Ferrini. I am unable to attend the scheduled
hearing. But I wanted to express my concerns.
First, I understand that approval was granted not long ago for
several other multi -dwelling units across the street from 135
Ferrini. Adding five other multi -dwelling unit will exacerbate
the high density of people in the area and impact the
neighborhood. Of course, they are being called "multi -family
units" but we all know that they will really be student
housing. As the density increases the noise levels continue to
rise and this impacts the neighborhood and all those who are
currently living in the area.
Second, these student houses / units will definitely impact
parking in the area. Aside from the summer months parking on
Ferrini is more than difficult even now. I presume this problem
will be heightened with five new "multi -family" units as these
people will also have cars that will need to be parked somewhere.
Since students will be in most of these units --
each-
each bringing a car to the area -- the parking
problem will increase exponentially.
I would encourage that this project not be approved.
Sincerely,
Kevin Duggan
