I have lived in this neighborhood for thirty years, having raised my kids and retired. I am asking for your consideration and funding for a neighborhood park in our Anholm district. I understand that you have 5.8 million that can be used for benefit of the neighborhood and for the wellness of our whole community. I ask that you consider our request to purchase the historic house on Palomar and make it a park similar to what Los Osos did with their school house park. Make it a venue for music, meetings, restful areas to be in nature under the old trees, not to allow construction of more apartments in an overwhelmingly large density areas of students and older adults. Ferrini Heights, Foothill area, Bishop's Peak, and others in the area would enjoy the park serving all ages.. This park can serve all ages and meet the need for a neighborhood park to serve all ages as designated in the General Plan Park and Recreation element that has not been met years ago. Before it was said that the funding was not available, but it is now currently available and I see no excuse not to use this opportunity to create greenspace within a high density area. I consider the need for a park to be greater than ever due to the situation with the increasing number of college students renting in our neighborhood. We do not need more apartments and less parking. I look forward to seeing this come to fruition, Julie Macedo 725 Serrano Drive San Luis Obispo, CA 93404 Sent from Mail for Windows 10 1
