San Luis Obispo is pre-
pared on all fronts for an
estimated population
growth of more than
10,000 residents in the
next 20 years, officials
said Wednesday, even as
some residents questioned
whether the city will have

quality, access to open
space, capacity in our
water reclamation facility
and absolutely capacity on
our roadways," Codron
said.
Codron said one city
objective is to encourage
people to use bicycles,
carpool or walk around
town. Fees assessed to
developers for building
new housing help pay for

Because destroying farmland and established neighborhoods, in order to stuff
another 10,000 people into San Luis Obispo, j1'ill magically eliminate:
The environ -ental damage already done.
The layer of smog, that now hangs over the city.
Traffic jams of dangerous/scofflaw drivers.
The criminal element that has taken over the city,
The downtown employees, who have taken over Old Town, with San Francisco style
parking. With the obligatory car alarms and enter/exit horn honking nonsense.
The residents of the sprawl neighborhoods, that use Old Town as a high speed
race track.
Plus, with 10,000 more people, downtown will surely, no longer be a dirty,
disgusting and unsafe destination.
San Luis Obispo's diminishing water resources, are becoming secondar7i, to the
negative impacts on cuality of life. Brought on by the overpopulation of San
Luis Obispo. City officials not recognizing these problems, and continuing to
bulldoze foward. Really says a lot about this town and where its priorities
are.
Thank you for you time,
