I've lived in three of the county's cities, including San Luis Obispo proper. There is a drastic housing shortage in this county and I've experienced it firsthand. I doubt I need to mention that our county is the sixth most expensive place to live in the nation, based on average income. The development at 71 Palomar is a very well thought-out project, both in environmental consciousness and the preservation of a historical building. I urge the commission to approve the project and create more affordable housing in this area, not to mention one with such curb appeal and design aesthetic. Sincerely, Katie Korgan
