Subject: 2950 Broad Street (PDEV-3310-2016)
Dear Mr. Bell:
This email will service as my opposition to the granting of any amendment to allow a reduction of 30% parking
reduction for the existing development as requested by the above referenced property. As a result of the
construction of the Moylan Terrace project parking in the area is already lacking. Residents of the Moylan
Terrace park are parking in lots reserved for the Villa Rosa Condos. Even though I am an absent owner when I
come to the complex I note that there is no available parking and the problem started when the Moylan Terrace
project became occupied. To further reduce mandated parking in the area will just create a greater parking
shortage. The City's Redevelopment Agency and the City Council should stop the development of any further
multi -unit projects in the area. Permits have been granted to too many units and the demands for parking are
consistently increasing as more units are completed. The City seems to be moving most of the development of
multi -unit affordable housing projects to the Broad Street corridor without considering how these developments
impact parking and traffic.
For these reasons, I object to the granting of stated application.
