My reason for leaving is the feeling that the City and the advisory committees no longer listen to permanent residents. Non- resident "Stakeholders" seem to have more influence over city decisions. Having said that, I couldn't help but notice and comment on the irony exhibited today. The SLO Planning Commission is holding a "scoping" session this evening to review the revisions to the zoning code. I assume this is to give developers greater flexibility in building higher and denser with fewer parking requirements. Today in the Tribune, Home and Garden section, the front page headline was, "Zoning Regulations Dictated That The Home Could Only Be 16 Feet Wide". I thought that it was interesting that Morro Bay follows its zoning regulations and still gets a well designed product. SLO on the other hand ignores zoning regulations and issues exceptions so that developers can build whatever is needed for a project to "pencil out". Two recent examples: The Monterey Hotel and Buena Vista "multi -generational" single family home. Linda White
