A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO DESIGNATING THE CIT Y
MANAGER AS THE CITY'S AUTHORIZED AGENT FOR ACCEPTANCE O F
CALIFORNIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FUNDIN G
WHEREAS,The City of San Luis Obispo submitted an application for funding t o
California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA); and
WHEREAS,the City of San Luis Obispo has been notified by Cal EMA who wa s
notified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that the application fo r
funding has been approved .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Lui s
Obispo that
SECTION 1 .The City Manager, is hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the
City of San Luis Obispo, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, thi s
application and to file it with the California Emergency Management Agency for the purpose o f
obtaining certain federal financial assistance under Public Law 93-288 as amended by the Rober t
T . Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financia l
assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act .
SECTION 2 . That the City of San Luis Obispo, a public entity established under th e
laws of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agent to provide to the Californi a
Emergency Management Agency for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance th e
assurances and agreements required.
SECTION 3 .This is a universal resolution and is effective for all open and future s
disasters up to three (3) years following the date of approval below .
