I live on San Jose Court and travel regularly on Foothill Blvd, Chorro and Broad streets. I am very concerned about the additional traffic not only on foothill, Chorro and Broad streets but particularly at the intersection of Foothill Blvd and Chorro. With the new shopping center and the soon to be remodeled shopping center, traffic increase is predictable. There are many children who walk to school as well as Cal Poly students who regularly walk down Foothill Blvd, Chorro and Broad. More cars in the neighborhood mean increased risks for their safety! Also, I am very concerned about the height variance. No more tall buildings in our neighborhood, please!!! Our neighborhood association is attempting to try to influence the “neighborhood” culture of where we live in a positive way. We want to retain the “small town” character of our neighborhood for ourselves and our children—and for San Luis Obispo! Please carefully consider our concerns as you make this most important decision on the 22 Chorro development. Picture a park!
