I request that the continued review of 560 Higuera scheduled for October 17, 2016, be rescheduled to
a later date, based on the words and action of your own Commission.
At the August 15, 2016, ARC meeting where this proposed development was last reviewed, your
commission stipulated in your Action: that the next time the project came before you, the plans for the
related development proposal at 1027 Nipomo Street were to be included. Some of the words of that
action included the reason being to consider the mass of both buildings and the effect on the adjacent
residential neighborhood.
Regardless of where the 1027 Nipomo Street development proposal is currently in the City review
process, your commission said you wanted to review the developments together the next time you
reviewed 560 Higuera and you must hold true to your words. The consideration of both properties
together is vital for the future of this area.
Also, the draft minutes for the August 15, 2016, ARC Meeting are incorrect. The summary of the
points of your Action: regarding the agenda item for 560 Higuera ARCH -3020-2016 do not include
your comments to view both properties together the next time. This is interesting exclusion. I hope
you can recall your actions, or refer back to notes, and correct the draft minutes.
