Our city is experiencing rapid growth and the university is accepting more and more students. The gap between available housing continues to grow for both students and non -students as a result. While there may be those who were fortunate enough to purchase their homes decades ago enjoy the low property taxes and a low mortgage, it is unreasonable to deny new in- fill housing so that they can maintain their current quality of life. That is not the case now and for those who are coming into the market, San Luis Obispo remains both the most desirable area to be as well as one of the most expensive, both on the rental and purchase side of things. Allowing for more housing to accommodate the unrelenting demand can help mitigate the ever increasing costs all around. Please recognize those who are against this project will come out in full force to fight it. Those who are for it tend to avoid conflict or have better things to do than get involved with the political aspects of housing in our local community. Understand that there is a large contingent locally that would like to see more housing and have more affordable options and choices for where they call home. Please support the project at 22 Chorro St and know that there is a silent majority in support of more housing in our community as well. Thank you, z
