City Council members:
I am writing in support of the Bishop Street Studios project proposed by TMHA. I urge you to deny the appeal
and help TMHA move forward with the project. I believe the need for the project is very great and should be
built. Furthermore, I feel the neighbors to the project are misguided and/or misinformed if they feel it will be a
problem for them. There is a similar housing facility quite close to where I live and a second one not far away.
They present no problem at all in the neighborhood. Had I not been told, I would never have known of their
existence. The residents in those houses are much less of a concern than the homeless people unsupervised
around town and in Mitchell Park, which is only 1/2 block from my house. With more housing like Bishop
Street, perhaps those folks will also get housing and help — which would benefit us all.
I am sorry I will be unable to attend the meeting in person but urge deny the appeal and let the project move
forward.
