r: Bishop Street Studios
Hi! The Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council reviewed the
proposed Bishop Street Studios development at their meeting on October
14`n. It was their decision/vote to strongly support this proposed project.
As an advocate for older persons, we are very concerned about the
plight of all vulnerable persons. And housing is a major issue for
vulnerable people. Too many vulnerable people are without permanent
housing, affecting all aspects of their health and well - being.
Transition- Mental Health Association is the project developer and
will operate the housing. Transitions- Mental Health Association is an
excellent organization that has served this community with distinction
for decades. This Area Agency on Aging has worked with and
contracted with Transitions -Mental Health Association for the provision
of services; importantly finding their service commitment outstanding.
Bishop Street Studios presents an important step in addressing the
long term housing needs of the mentally ill in our community. It merits
your support at your meeting on November 15`n
Thank you for the opportunity to express our opinion.
Sincerely,
ar JYcil
