I will be out of town, so unable to support this ordinance in person, please accept this email in my stead. DO SUPPORT THE CONCEPT OF THIS ORDINACE for potable water to be used during renovation periods with proper oversight of usage etc. Damon Garcia is a perfect example of a deteriorating facility where Public Works has excessive documentation of our city's failing effort to maintain and grow grass in our climate with recycled water in a renovation period. The particulars can be discussed for hours on why, but basically nothing helps grass grow like fresh water. The recycled water provided by the Utilities Department is not at the same level, no matter what they claim is currently available or coming online with more and more money put into their plant in the coming years. Instead of boring you with facts (of which there are plenty and I presume staff will include in their thorough report), please use the following link to view some aerial photos I have personally commissioned for viewing of my colleagues in the past. httj).s:/Iwww.dropbox.com/sh/7ygOxivekvIah82/AABTMYkSk8SQCRhKkxSrriugwPa?dl=0 This anecdotal evidence will show you the deterioration pre and post renovation for the past few years since 2013. Everyone loves pictures. I do not play soccer, no agenda here, I do not care about Damon -Garcia Sports Complex other than for the love of our aging, neglected, dilapidated City Park Facilities. Thank you for your time in this matter. Please email me with any questions or comments.
