I am a 61 year old, recently widowed, retired RN, who has lived here since 1983. I raised my three kids here, who participated in all the activities that this wonderful community offered. All are SLO high grads, and my son is a Cal Poly engineering grad. My daughter went away to get her BSN, moved back here, is an ICU nurse, and bought her first home, a 704 sq. ft. fixer upper, here in the Anholm district. I'm in very strong opposition to the 22 Chorro Street Project, which was previously declined by the Architectural revue commission. I can not understand why the city council could so easily overlook the height issue, and okay this without further traffic and parking studies. This project does not fit well in our neighborhood. By having their own "bike lounge" and rooftop garden, I don't see the residents blending into our close knit neighborhood. And this amazing, diverse neighborhood is exactly what I am trying to protect. We are a blend of retirees, young families, students, working singles and couples, tons of wee kiddos, and friendly dogs. We are neighbors who help each other, watch each other's kids and pets, and watch out to make sure we are safe. And we walk, and ride our bikes, and stop to chat with each other. I don't see this project adding to our way of life, which we cherish. More cars zooming through our neighborhood, down Chorro and Broad, on their way downtown puts our kids and pets at risk. More noise and traffic puts our quality of life at risk. I do hope you will seriously think who it is you serve. Demand more studies, especially regarding traffic and parking issues. And please put our permanent residents needs ahead of these out of town developers. They just don't get what a treasure we have here. But I hope you do. Thank you, Debbie Anthony 665 Mountain View Street, SLO
