I would deliver them in person but am currently unable to walk due to a knee injury. Thank you. Will Powers, Ph.d 1. 857 Santa Rosa. This is a beautiful, huge (I think) Ficus. Yes, it's disruptive of the sidewalk but most of the problem with this tree stems from its having been neglected. Trim it extensively, mitigate what's happening to the sidewalk, and save this beautiful landmark tree. Recommendation: No to removal. 2. 1234 San Carlos. These are beautiful and seemingly -healthy trees. People shouldn't be allowed to destroy beautiful trees just because they want to change the landscape look. Recommendation: No to removal. 3. 3057 So. Higuera. If I'm looking at the right tree, this is a beautiful, healthy pine that is suffering from neglect. The owners should take responsibility for having this tree properly -trimmed and save it. Recommendation: No to removal. 4. 990 Palm. Sure, these are by City Hall; and, sure, we should acquiesce to city government just because its city government. NOT! These look healthy, they're well-maintained, and they're beautiful. Recommendation: No to removal. 5. 2119 San Luis Drive. These are side -hill and a bit gnarly but, again, trees should not be removed just for convenience and to help someone with a project. Recommendation: No to removal. 6. 2159 San Luis Drive. See comments on #5. Beautiful live oak that should not be sacrificed to convenience. Recommendation: No to removal. 7. 1610 Colina Ct. This is a tree with a fat, listing trunk that, again, has not been properly maintained. It looks healthy. Don't remove a tree just because it takes work to save it. Recommendation: No to removal. 8. 1628 Mill. Again, a healthy tree that has been neglected. Trim it! Recommendation: No to removal. 9. 1545 Tanglewood. The whole area of these trees is a poorly -maintained mess. Clean it up, trim the trees properly, and enjoy their beauty. Recommendation: No to removal. Overall: This month's collection of applications for tree removal is a top -to -bottom list of trees for which requests for removal are being made for convenience and due to lack of maintenance by the owners. This tree city deserves to have ALL of them saved. Respectfully submitted. Will Powers, Ph.d
