Subject: single use bottles...
Dear Mayor and City council,
-1_D CITY CLERIC
have several concerns regarding a ban on single use plastic water bottles and filling stations but I
will attempt to keep it short.
Is there a plan to charge for the water at the filling stations? Your current rate payers are
constantly told to conserve, our water and sewer rates are ever increasing, yet it appears you
expect us to provide the expensive equipment and the water for free to anyone.
It would probably be acceptable if you decide to ban the City itself from purchasing single use
plastic bottles, but to tell us what kind of container we citizens are allowed to purchase or use is
simply wrong.
I would urge you to remember that your duties are to maintain our streets, our parks, and our
utilities.
