COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
In regards to iTLNP 1319-2015 & SPEC/ERR-1316-2015 and SPEC/ANX/ER 1502-2015.
The proposed projects for The Avila parch and Dalidio Ranch, will destroy
valuable and fertile American farmland. 91iis farmland destruction, will help
push America to the unsafe position of, relying on other countries to grow
our food. Similar to America relying on other countries, to manufacture our
goods; leaving America unemployed.
It would seem shortsighted to destroy any of America's farmland. Given how
volatile the world is politically and the documented climate change issues;
locally and worldwide. Plus, how quickly America is losing farmland clue to
drought, diminshing aquifers, soil degradation, eXtreme weather, pollution,
developer destruction.
Yes, I realize, I am tilting at windmills. That American's are so far removed
from farming. Generally speaking, they are not too concerned, where or how
their food is growm, how far it traveled, is it safe and clean; or loss of a
food supply, due to a border closing. But, it seems morally wrong, for me to
sit on my hands. While a very, small group of people, sign off on the destruc-
tion of American farmland; and my hometown, for that matter.
Thank you for your time,
