Transportation and Traffic — the increased traffic of up to 7000+ cars a day on Buckley
Rd is not addressed in the EIR and mitigation measures are totally inadequate for
circulation.
Furthermore, since the improvement to the end of Buckley Road near 227, the hazard to
bicyclist has increased. Now, a weekend bicyclist from out of town that sees the new
Buckley Road Shoulders (visible from 227) will commit to ride Buckley. Then, once
having reached the intersection of Davenport Creek, will encounter continuing shoulders
on Buckley less than a foot wide with major ruts.
The combination of increased traffic and an already hazardous road for bicycles will
most assuredly add to the bicycle deaths that have been increasing within the county.
Thank you for your consideration
