That time I included a letter Barbara Farber had written. This letter is from Gale Garrison, and contains more good points about the proposed project. I think they deserve your attention as well. Georgianne Kandler Resident, San Luis Obispo County From: Gale Garrison < Date: January 17, 2017 at 3:14:44 PM PST To: advisorybodiesC&,slocity.org, tcorey(dWocity.or,g Subject: Avila Ranch Project Gentle persons: RECEIVED CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO JAN 18 2017 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT We are 42 year residents of the southern part of SLO city and would like to voice our concerns about the above proposed development. Even though we understand that housing is needed, about 60%of SLO housing is occupied by Cal Poly students and this huge project would mean traffic in the South part of town trying to go to Poly on streets that can't handle it. Most new developments we have seen are student occupied. The scope of the project is too large for this part of the city. Traffic on Vachell, South Higuera, Prado and LOVR is already impacted, and needs to be addressed first. Also, we really don't know yet about our water situation. Are we all conserving water so there can be a project of 720 homes in an area of our city that doesn't have an infrastructure in place and no one to pay for it? Thank you for taking our input on this project. The Garrisons Sent from my iPad
