Item:
As a long-time resident of, and home owner in, the City of San Luis Obispo, and a member of RQN, I am appalled that the City is
even considering moving forward with this project! This is yet another assault on the dwindling established family
neighborhoods and naturally beautiful surroundings in which we are blessed to reside. How can anyone rationalize clear -
cutting beautiful, mature trees and displacing the wild birds who live in them in favor of more, densely -populated housing,
noise, and traffic congestion? This is a disgrace and an insult to we who feel, once more, that we are being pushed out of our
owner -occupied homes/neighborhoods in favor or renters who are inconsiderate of the beauty and tranquility of this
environment. Proceeding with plans to build these apartments is tantamount to telling us that we are no longer welcome to
live in peace in San Luis Obispo. We know that, the sooner we are pushed out of our homes, the sooner developers will scoop
up our neighborhoods for their monetary gain. How far is the City willing to let this go before it comes to a screeching hault?
