Wolff [ Sent: Monday, February 06, 2017 1:31 PM To: E-mail Council Website <emailcouncil@slocity.org> Cc: Racouillat Rick < ; Ashbaugh John < ; Haggard Ken & Polly < Subject: 22 Chorro Dear Council Members, Our City Council is entrusted with the awesome responsibility of promoting and safeguarding the quality of life of its citizens and their environment. To assist its decision making the City Council has created a Planning Commission, comprised of people who are assumed to have more expertise in planning issues. Yet the previous Council voted to ignore their strong 4 to 1 majority recommendation to reject the current proposal for 22 Chorro. Many words have been voiced regarding this project. Most have been discounted. The near unanimous objection of those most directly affected; the nearby businesses and residents, have been totally ignored. Among many other issues, parking, both able and disabled, is grossly inadequate. The resulting spill-over parking problem will have extremely negative impacts on the safety, convenience and the economy of the residents and adjacent businesses. Especially on the safety of the community. At some point safety and common sense must override blind adherence to detrimental regulations. As an architect and resident of SLO for the past 46 years, I can not recall a single project more deserving of rejection or serious revision. Sincerely, Paul M. Wolff
