Dear James Bergman:

Now Times Article, neat article for a Los Angeles Museum, Perfect! Why not, they don't have a
wonderful historical feeling anymore. But I lived there when they did, and it was a neat journey
through time.
You are robbing San Luis Obispo of its heritage in creatine that museum structure. And I'm
willing to bet I am not the only person who feels that way. People move here — and I've heard
it so often, because it's the last heavenly city on the coast of California. People from here
originally, love it here, and regret the thought of its loss.
THERE'S NOTHING WRONG LUi.THE.MUSLIEMBUILDING — OTHFR.THAN.THAT 1T-D-OESN'T
FIT SAN -WS-QHISP0 I assume you must want to make this just another Los Angeles, that
nobody cares much about anymore, an overgrown metropolis — of California.
Specifically, l think you should leave it as is or build something new in character with our
city's heritage, mission style perhaps or an offshoot of the Library Historical Building, unique
and welcoming in its feeling — welcoming, that's a thought. Not Impersonal and uniquely
UNLIKE the downtown San Luis Obispo ... we love.
If you have to keep it, put it on Broad Street, far south, where no one expects it to reflect our
fine town.
Concerned, let's keep our city — it is a treasure to preserve..
