Dear Parks and Recreation Commission,
I am in support of the idea to move funds from the City Parkland Fund to the general fund to pay for a
Parks and Recreation Element update. An update of all City recreational needs should be a priority before
assigning funds to one specific community need not already scheduled for funding. Without a significant
and complete understanding of city wide recreational needs the use of parkland funds for a specific
project may not be the best use of those funds.
Please ask the City Council to consider moving funds to the general fund for a P&R Element update.
