TESTIMONIAL
"This documentary is right an target in so many
ways, from the science to the personal stories
brought forth in a sensitive and endearing manner.
As a neuroscientist and pharmacologist, l Can vouch
for the overriding message that marijuana wreaks
havoc with the ability of the average brain to remain
free of anxie, panic, depression, psychosis and
suicidal thaughts. As the parent of a yoursg man just
emerging into adulthood, m heart othes for the
young Oars of this film who have lost so much to this
drug, yet remain hopeful for a future free of it. By
She end, you will he theering them on, hoping more

Anandamide is our body's natural neurochemical.
THC molecular structure is similar. This allows THC
to mimic Anandamide by connecting to the nerve cell
receptor in its place. Eventually the body shuts down its
own production and receptors get damaged. Results are Negative
loss of dopamine, creating depression and other serious D
issues.

POTENCY
1-3% THC in 60s/70s, today 15-25%
and up to 98% THC in some forms.
PERCEPTION
When perception of harm goes down,
use goes up. Society thinks there is no
down side. Many believe all marijuana is
medicinal, regardless of content.
LACK OF EDUCATION
There isn't any education for our youth,
our teachers or other professionals. We do
not understand the side effects/negative
effects of this drug.
COMMERCIALIZATION
Big Marijuana (formerly Big Tobacco)
is pushing this drug for financial gain.
Corporations are backing this industry
now. They are interested in addicting our
children for their profit.
CONTENT
Even organic varieties often test
positive for pesticides, mold and bacteria.
These chemicals are harmful to those with
compromised immune systems.
DOSING
There are no standards for how much
is too much. Edibles and other concentrates
are very dangerous and easy to overdose.
SAFETY
Youth believe they are safer as
drivers while stoned. Huge increase in fatal
drugged driving accidents.
DELIVERY
New methods of using: vaping, edibles,
butane derived oils, concentrates.

The Award-Winninc film, The Other Side of Cannabis:
Negative Effects of Marijuana on Our Youth, will
help you to understand today's marijuana through
interviews with researchers and other professionals,
as well as individuals whose lives were negatively
impacted by this drug.
The film is geared to youth, educators, medical
and health professionals, counselors and media, in
addition to recovery/treatment center programs,
behavioral health departments, law enforcement,
and others who influence our youth. The film is
not about legalization nor medicinal marijuana
treatments.
While components of marijuana (Ms)
ma be appropriate to use medicinally
under proper medical guidance for
those truly in need, the message that
marijuana is safe, natural and harmless as
a recreational substance, must be wetgted
against the evidence of associated risks.
To make an informed decision to use
marijuana, it is imperative to know the risks.
OSC is an independent film created by ordinary citizens
with no political or economic affiliations or interests,
other than bringing attention to the negative effects of
marijuana on adolescents, teenagers and young adults—
whose brains are still forming,
