Subject: OPPOSE 71 PALOMAR (4/4, item 16)
Hon. Mayor and Council:
Please UPHOLD the appeal of 71 Palomar.
This project should be denied for ALL of the reasons stated in the appeal, most specifically:
(1) TRAFFIC/PARKING. The Tassajara parking district already severely overflows its boundaries, and is
ESPECIALLY impacted near the project site. Lack of on-site parking will exacerbate this severe problem
further and lead to additional neighborhood parking blight.
(2) TREE REMOVAL. The removal of dozens of beautiful mature trees violates our City policies and will
substantively harm neighborhood character, add to pollution, and harm wildlife.
(3) The project is in a severely impacted sewer zone.
(4) The low quality, high density blight this project threatens to bring will harm neighborhood wellness and
increase property crime in the area.
OPPOSE 71 PALOMAR.
