Subject: palomar appeal
Ms. Pease:
You may or may not remember me. I was on Morro Bay City Council when you were
starting up Green Build in SLO County. Congratulations on winning your election to the
SLO City Council.
As you may remember under City Manager Hampian, SLO city staff presented all
information objectively so council could discuss all sides and make a decision based on
all factors.
If you haven't realized it yet, the city staff report you received on this project discusses
only those policies that support the decision they are recommending; thus making the
decision for you, the council. SLO city has other policies regarding historic sites, tree
preservation, neighborhood preservation, and adequate environmental review under
CEQA, which I did not see included in the council staff report.
Please carefully listen to the appellants who have done a tremendous amount of
research, information that is important to this decision. Please uphold the appeal or
continue this item until you are fully informed.
Sincerely,
Betty Winholtz
