RE: 4/4/17 APPEAL 71 PALOMAR item 16
Dear Mayor Harmon and City of San Luis Obispo Council Members,
Please support the appeal of the prior approval of development at 71 Palomar, SLO.
I have not seen one thing yet presented that makes any sense about the proposed development
plan.
Moving the historical building on the site from its historical central location on top of the tree
covered slope to a location where, if even successful which is highly doubtful, the mansion will
appear as a looming misfit so near the roadway is more than absurd.
The proposed loss of trees both as view shed and avian habitat is ecologically mindless and
hurtful. This is an unnecessary and an irresponsible plan.
The silence on the part of the City with regards to the already extremely impacted traffic and
parking situation in the subject area is more than disheartening. The parking plan for this project
is a joke.
Simply put, we are a neighborhood what wishes to preserve our history, maintain a vibrant and
ecologically sound multi -specie environment, and we do not wish to become a parking lot more
than has already occurred for badly designed imposter projects.
Please uphold the integrity of our neighborhood by upholding the appeal to this project.
