The row of redwoods is not long enough to screen this building, apparently. It is very visible looming over the property from the front and rear vantage points in the Jack House yard. Now that you have the correct information, it is obvious that this four-story building should also be set back perhaps 15 feet on the fourth floor as is 570 Marsh Street. Both of these buildings will be the new "start" of downtown, and a gradual transition from the lower intensity corridors would be good urban design. I ask that you also require an extension of the row of redwoods to the rear property line to continue the buffer upon which you are relying in the front portion. I would ask that staff give you their considered response to my suggestions as well. Sincerely, Jamie Lopes
