COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
To the Members of the San Luis Obispo City Council and its Advisory Boards, --
I wish to express my support for the Avila Ranch project that is now before you. This project represents a strong and
significant step toward supporting middle and lower income families who create and maintain the fabric of our
community. These same families cannot afford to live within our city limits and as such create tremendous
congestion on 227 and the 101, while adding to the pollution levels, and lowering tax revenues. From Workforce
Housing and Traffic Improvements to New Parks and lowered pollution emissions, this project adds over 700 homes,
shorter commutes, less energy consumption, and more bike paths and parks.
Please give your full support and approval of this project and all that it does for our community.
