Dear City Council Members and County Planning Commissioners,
RECEIVED
CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
MAY 3 0 2017
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
I am writing in support of the county's first Net Zero community at Avila Ranch, San Luis Obispo. In addition to addressing the
need for workforce housing it is my opinion that this would likely bring a great deal of positive publicity to our county with the
unique ways the builder is willing to address concerns including decreasing the number of cars on the road and encouraging
healthy bike riding options. Apparently Avila Ranch will be more than affordable homes, they'll also be a new way of
addressing a community lifestyle that has evolved into something very different from times past and our county has the
opportunity to be leaders in this change. How great it would be to provide diversity, both in housing and demographics, in our
wonderful county. I encourage you to allow this development to move forward toward what looks like a refreshing new way to
meet housing and transportation concerns.
Sincerely,
Nicole Hoffman
