COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Advisory Board Members,
I'm writing to express my support for the Avila Ranch development. I believe young professionals (like myself) who are looking
to start careers and families in San Luis Obispo are the lifeblood of our community. It is this group of young, creative,
enthusiastic people with disposable income that are going to invest in this city if they are given the opportunity to live and
work here.
I grew up in San Luis Obispo and moved back with my two young daughters because I could not think of a better place to raise
my children. I'm also attending the San Luis Obispo College of Law and plan to practice law in San Luis Obispo when I pass the
bar. I want to put down roots in this city and become and active and involved member of this wonderful community. The only
way I can do that is to find an affordable place to live within this city. Currently, it is next to impossible.
My family and many other people just like me need developments like Avila Ranch to be built in order to stay here.
Thank you for your consideration,
Dorothy Grant
